Curriculum Timetable

Classroom hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
• All preparation classes are conducted by a current Licensed Master Groomer or higher designation.

Grooming Fundamentals- under 18 years of age - 4 weeks $3,000.00
This program does not require approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005

Grooming Fundamentals – Tokyo, Japan all ages – 4 weeks $3,000.00

Week 1 : General Work Practices and Procedures, Equipment. Duties of a Groomer Assistant.
Week 2 : Anatomy and Teeth, Handling controls, Nails, Dewclaws, Ears, Pads, Skin Conditions
Week 3 : Shampooing, Blow Drying, Brushing, Combing and Dematting
Week 4 : Speed control with bathing and blow-drying skills

Junior Groomer Program – Program Offered in Tokyo, Japan Only – 8 weeks $6,000.00

Week 1 : General Work Practices and Procedures, Equipment. Duties of a Groomer Assistant.
Week 2 : Anatomy and Teeth, Handling controls, Nails, Dewclaws, Ears, Pads, Skin Conditions
Week 3 : Shampooing, Blow Drying, Brushing, Combing and Dematting

Professional Animal Stylist Program – Program Offered in Tokyo, Japan only – 12 weeks $8,500.00

Entrance Requirements and Procedures

A minimum of Grade 9 High School Diploma, or equivalent for the following courses:
(Mature participants, or past work experience will be taken into consideration)

Participants who have previously attended Pampered Paws™ will be subject to the same requirements and procedures as new applicants.

To be considered for admissions, Applicants must submit their application, with the appropriate application fee and fulfill all admissions requirements for the program as described below. Selection of participants is based on an individual assessment of each applicant.


• Submit an completed Pampered Paws™ application for admission with the appropriate application fee
• Submit Documentation of education.
• Submit a current copy of your resume

Pampered Paws™ reserves the right to reject applications, if the items listed above are not successfully completed or not included for review. This will cause undo time delays for you. Please ensure all documentation is included.
Upon completion of all the above and submission of all required documentation to Pampered Paws™, the Administration Office, will review the information, and will inform the applicant by mail. If an Applicant is declined acceptance, the application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

All Applicants for courses are required to complete a personal telephone interview, or a face to face interview, with our Admissions Advisor. Parents and/or spouses are encouraged to be present for this interview. This will give the Applicant and their family the opportunity to ask questions relating to the curriculum and course objectives. Personal interviews also assist the Administrators, in determining whether an Applicant is accepted for enrolment into the program.

Start Dates:
The Professional Development Programs all begin on the First Tuesday of each month.
In class hours are Tuesday to Friday from 8:30am. – 4:30 pm.
Monday, is considered your assignment and research day. You must learn to use this day wisely, as homework is a vital part of the curriculum.

We suggest that you arrive to class a full 15 minutes prior to start time, to set up your equipment for the day.

Please note that the Professional Animal Stylist and the Junior Groomer Programs are only offered in Tokyo, Japan.
